
CINEMA DAY
“Cinema Day 2026” is pleased to announce the return!
HKTA, with funding support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) and the Film Development Fund, is pleased to announce the return of the Cinema Day. This year's event is also one of the supporting programmes of Hong Kong Pop Culture Festival 2026. On 25 April, screenings at all 52 commercial cinemas across Hong Kong, regardless of the screening format or cinema type, including VIP Houses, will be available at a flat ticket price of $30. The initiative allows the public to enjoy a wide range of films and cinema experiences at an exceptional value. For details, please refer to the following:

Applicable to all commercial cinemas, included: Bestarfilm Cinemas│Broadway Circuit│CGV Cinema│Chinachem Cinema│Cineart Cinemas│Cinema City│Emperor Cinemas│Golden Scene Cinema│Lumen Cinema│Lux Theatre│MCL Cinemas│Newport Circuit│Sunbeam Whampoa │(applicable to VIP house, and the VIP House will not provide food and beverages)(listed by alphabetical order)
Except for the first show of the seniors and the seniors' early session discounts below HK$30 will be remained. There will be no senior, children and students ticket price, all kind of ticket price will be standardized at HK$30 (except private screenings and special programmes). All other cinema discounts and movie coupons/vouchers will not be applicable on that day.

Start from 12:00 noon on 22 April (Wednesday), tickets will be on sale at the box offices and websites of participating cinemas (except Broadway Cinematheque, where the box office will open at 3:00 pm but online presale will not be affected, and Lux Theatre, where tickets will be on sale at the box office on 24 April). Each person could purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction at the box office. Online ticket purchase limits are subject to the rules of each cinema chain.
