1st October Movie Fiesta: Half-price Spectacular(2025)

Organized by the Hong Kong Theatres Association (HKTA) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau and the Film Development Fund, the highly anticipated “10.1 Movie Fiesta: Half-Price Spectacular” is back! On October 1, all 52 cinemas across Hong Kong will offer half-price tickets for all screenings, regardless of the film, ticket type, screening format, and VIP House too! 

The event aims to bring joy to the public and to encourage the public to watch movies in cinemas. HKTA would like to express gratitude to the Government and the Film Development Fund for its continued support this year, making it possible once again to launch “10.1 Movie Fiesta: Half-Price Spectacular” in all member cinemas. On National Day, tickets in all 52 cinemas will be half-price. Half-price also applies to concessionary tickets for seniors (first show), children, students, and the elderly moviegoers can enjoy blockbusters from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and around the world at unbeatable prices. With a rich lineup, this is truly an opportunity not to be missed!

  Applicable to all commercial cinemas, included: Bestarfilm Cinemas│Broadway Circuit│CGV Cinema│Chinachem Cinema│Cineart Cinemas│Cinema City│Emperor Cinemas│Golden Scene Cinema│Lumen Cinema│Lux Theatre│MCL Cinemas│Newport Circuit│Sunbeam Whampoa │(Applicable to VIP Houses, the VIP houses (if the theatre originally provided beverage) will continue to provide beverage on that day) (Theatre's names are sorted by English alphabetical order)

  Half-price applies to all ticket types on October 1 (excluding private booking and special programs).  Half-price also applies to concessionary tickets for seniors (first show), children, students, and the elderly. After discounts, ticket prices with decimals (cents) will be rounded up to one dollar.  Vouchers, complimentary tickets, membership benefits, and bank promotions will not be valid on the day.  Cinemas reserve the right of final decision in case of dispute.

  Start from 12:00 noon on 26 Sep 2025 (Friday), tickets will be sold at the box office of all theatres and their online ticketing websites.  Each person can only purchase a maximum of 4 tickets at the box office of the theatre, online ticket purchases are subject to the ticket purchase restrictions of each theatre.   (Except Lux Cinema will go on sale on 30 Sep 2025)
